Dan’s son Dreu was killed in an accident in 1982 when a semi crashed into the boys who were turning left off the Hwy. Dan petitioned for a left turn lane and saw it through, even while working two jobs as a farmer and as a baker at WSU.

When this section of the home was preserved by Dan Lorang, he decided to spray foam all over the c.1873 Kitchen and Washroom. It worked to preserve the wood. Descendants of Barney and Henry Lorang scrape off the enormous amount of foam.
