While waiting for decorative porch pieces to be matched, recreated, sanded and painted by artists Len Zeoli, Jim Christiansen and later John Lorang, grandson of Charles; while working on the Log cabin, Curio cabin and lower tier of the 1904 porch, the brace sat holding up the upper porch roof until 2013.
