John Lorang contributed to the publication subscriptions for this book and you can find his photo in the story of Genesee. Here he is standing with the Farmhouse, Fountain and Chair that he made himself. The fountain is fed by a spring over 1/2 away. In 1911, an aqueduct was hand dug by John and his son, Henry to bring water to the barn, the fields, the Farmhouse and this fountain. We still have the wooden boards he used to shape the fountain and the trowel he used for the cement.
